About Me

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched...but are felt in the heart." -Helen Keller (1880-1968)

My clients say I'm a gentle, calm, caring, compassionate, dependable woman with integrity. Colleagues say I'm professional, dedicated, comforting and approachable. With several years of experience, I've offered guidance and support in welcoming well over 100 babies into the world. Whether you're expecting a new baby or your little one has already arrived, my objective is to provide you with information, support, encouragement and respect so you'll find your inner strength to birth your baby and transition to motherhood - and fatherhood.

Empowering my clients to realize their wishes in birth and gain confidence in newborn care as they begin the next chapter in the circle of life; attending midwives, doctors, nurses and clients consistently provide excellent feedback and evaluations regarding my techniques and care. I consider it a privilege to work as a team member with moms, dads, partners, caregivers and loved ones through the most positive experience possible.

As a Childbirth Educator, my classes include but are not limited to signs and stages of labour, birth wishes & flexibility, comfort measures, coping technigues, newborn care, breast and bottle feeding. As a Birth Doula, my knowledge and experience are broad and include supporting my clients in natural un-medicated, medicated, inductions, vaginal (including vaginal breech), twins, cesarean (including operating room support), home births and water births. My Postpartum Doula experience includes assistance in breastfeeding and newborn care during the transition when a little one(s) joins the family.

Both as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, I have experience with families with unique challenges and joys of twins or issues around disabilities.
